Learn how to access the BIOS of a Lenovo branded laptop or PC.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Using advanced options in Windows 10

Step 1. Click on the Start menu

It is often found at the bottom left of the desk.

Step 2. Open Settings

They are towards the bottom of the menu.

Step 3. Click Update & Security
This option is represented by two arrows in the shape of a circle.

Step 4. Choose Recovery
It's in the left column.

Step 5. Click Restart Now
It's under Advanced startup in the right panel. The PC will restart and a blue menu will appear.

Step 6. Click Troubleshoot from the menu
This button is represented by a screwdriver and an adjustable wrench.

Step 7. Open Advanced Options
This is the last option.

Step 8. Click UEFI Firmware
This is in the right column.

Step 9. Choose Restart
The PC will restart and open the BIOS interface.
Method 2 of 4: Using the Shift key in Windows 10 / 8.1 / 8

Step 1. Log out of Windows
- Under Windows 10:
- click on To start up
- click on your username. It's at the top left of the menu.
- choose Sign out.
- click on To start up
- Under Windows 8.1 / 8:
- Press on ⊞ Win + X,
- click on Stop or log out. It's at the very bottom of the menu.
- choose Sign out.

Step 2. Press Shift by clicking on the menu
Do not take your finger off the button when the menu appears. Step 3. Keep pressing Shift and click on To restart. Do not take your finger off the key while the PC is restarting and the blue screen is displayed. This button is represented by a screwdriver and an adjustable wrench. This is the last option. This is in the right column. The PC will restart and open the BIOS interface. A menu appears. It's at the bottom of the menu. It's at the bottom of the left column. It's in the left column. This option is under the Advanced Startup heading in the right pane. The PC will restart and a blue menu will appear. This button is represented by a screwdriver and an adjustable wrench. This is the last option. This is in the right column. The PC will restart and open the BIOS interface. As soon as it restarts, you will see a black screen with large white Lenovo letters. The screen only appears for a few seconds, so you need to quickly move on to the next step. Step 2. Press F1 Where F2 until BIOS is displayed. Try to press the key twice per second. The key you should use for your computer model appears at the bottom of the Lenovo screen next to To Setup.
Step 4. Click Troubleshoot from the menu
Step 5. Open Advanced Options
Step 6. Click UEFI Firmware
Step 7. Choose Restart

Step 1. Point the mouse at the top right of the home page and then at the bottom
Step 2. Click Settings
Step 3. Click Change PC Settings
Step 4. Choose Update & Recovery
Step 5. Click Recovery
Step 6. Do Restart now
Step 7. Click Troubleshoot from the menu
Step 8. Choose Advanced Options
Step 9. Click UEFI Firmware
Step 10. Choose Restart
