If you need them, it is possible to add additional fonts in Adobe Illustrator, on PC or on Mac, in case some are missing.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: In Windows

Step 1. Close Illustrator
If the program is open, you will not be able to add new fonts to it.

Step 2. Download fonts
If you haven't already downloaded the fonts you want to install, do so before continuing.
- Fonts for Illustrator must be complete, which means they must include the "bold", "italics" and "underline" variants as well as the entire alphabet in upper and lower case.
- You can download fonts in.OTF,.TFF,.PFP, and.TTF formats

Step 3. Click

Click on the Windows logo at the bottom left of your screen.

Step 4. Launch File Explorer

Click on the folder icon at the bottom left of the menu window To start up.

Step 5. Navigate to your fonts
Click on the folder containing the compressed file of your fonts (for example, Downloads) in the left column of the File Explorer.
You may need to open other folders in the main window before you reach the compressed folder

Step 6. Click on the compressed folder
This will select it.

Step 7. Click the Extract tab
The tab is at the top of the window of the File Explorer. By doing this, you will bring up a toolbar under the tab Extract.

Step 8. Click Extract All
The button is on the right of the toolbar.

Step 9. Extract the files
When prompted, click Check Out. The compressed folder will then be extracted into a classic folder.

Step 10. Wait for the extraction to complete
When the extraction is complete, the folder should open on its own, allowing you to manipulate the font files.

Step 11. Double-click on the font
This will open the font preview window.

Step 12. Click Install
The button is at the top of the preview window. This will start the font installation for all programs installed on your computer that use fonts, including Illustrator.
If there are separate font files for "bold", "italic", etc., you will need to double-click each one and install them for the font to work in Illustrator
Method 2 of 2: On Mac

Step 1. Close all programs
All text and image editing programs must be closed before you can install a font on your Mac. The most common programs are:
- Adobe Illustrator;
- Pages;
- Microsoft Office.

Step 2. Download the fonts
If you have not yet downloaded the fonts you want to install, search the internet for them and download them before proceeding to the rest of the installation.
- Fonts for Illustrator must be complete, which means they must include the "bold", "italics" and "underline" variants as well as the entire alphabet in upper and lower case.
- The font formats supported on Mac are.DFONT,.OTF,.TTF,.TTC, PostScript, and Multiple Master.

Step 3. Open Finder
It is represented by the icon resembling a smiley face on the Dock.

Step 4. Open the police file
Navigate to the folder in which the font is located in the left column of the Finder, then open the police folder.
If the font is not in a folder, simply navigate to its location

Step 5. Select the font
Click on the font file you want to install.
If the font requires different files (italics, bold, etc.), select each one by keeping the ⌘ Command key pressed and clicking once on each file

Step 6. Click Edit
The button is located in the upper left corner of the screen. This will bring up a drop-down menu.

Step 7. Click Copy
The option is at the bottom of the menu Edit. By doing this, you will be copying the font file.

Step 8. Click Go
The button is located in the menu bar of your Mac. Clicking on it will bring up a new drop-down menu.

Step 9. Click Go to Folder
The option is at the bottom of the menu Go.

Step 10. Open the Library folder
To do this, type / System / Library, then press Enter. This will bring you to the folder Library.

Step 11. Double-click on Fonts
This is the folder that contains all of the program fonts on your Mac, including Illustrator.

Step 12. Click Edit
The button is located in the menu bar.

Step 13. Select Paste Item
By doing this, you will paste your font file (s) into the folder Fonts.
- If you have copied several files, then you will select the option Paste the elements.

Step 14. Restart your Mac
Click on the menu

, then on To restart… and select To restart when prompted. After your Mac restarts, you should be able to open Illustrator and use the font (or fonts) you just installed.
