The Voice: the most beautiful voice, is a television singing competition of the reality show genre. Based on the program "The voice of Holland" initially created by the Dutch producer John de Mol, this program, now franchised, is broadcast in dozens of countries. 2013 is the second season in France and the show is presented by Yoann Fréget on TF1 (a children's version is in preparation), in Canada, 2013 is the first season and the program, “La Voix,” is presented by Valérie Carpentier on TVA, in Belgium, the program broadcast on La Une, is also called “La Voix” and 2013 is the third season. You can participate by auditioning in front of a jury or by submitting a video.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Admission Requirements

Step 1. You must be at least 15 years old (in some countries there is a version for children for under 15s), when you appear at the first selection audition for the next season
Go to the website of the program in your country of residence (http://www.tf1.fr/the-voice/ for France) to find out about the dates of the next auditions

Step 2. You must be a resident of the country in which the program you want to participate in is broadcast
You can be a native of the country, have been naturalized or have a valid residence permit.
You will be asked to prove your nationality by presenting an ID, passport or residence permit valid for the duration of the season

Step 3. You must be aware of the image you are going to give of yourself
It is not recommended to participate in The Voice if you work in the public sector. If you are accepted, you will also need to make a commitment not to behave inappropriately during auditions and during shows.

Step 4. You must be psychologically and physically fit to participate in The Voice until the end of the season
People with disabilities are welcome, however before registering you must be sure that you can pass the qualifying steps to be considered.

Step 5. You will need to undergo a background study
This will be done by employees of The Voice.

Step 6. Save money so you can cover your travel and accommodation costs during long periods of shooting
The following is an example of the time and travel required for your participation.
- The first hearing will be entirely at your expense. You will need to travel to the city in your country where the hearing will take place. The place can change from season to season.
- Travel and accommodation costs at the final auditions to participate in The Voice will be the responsibility of the production. You will have to be on site for a period of 1 week to 2 months.
- Travel and accommodation costs to participate in the program for the entire season will be the responsibility of the production. For filming, you will need to visit and reside in an undisclosed location for a period of up to 9 months.
Part 2 of 3: Selection hearing

Step 1. Find out about the dates and locations of the selection auditions on the The Voice website corresponding to your country of residence
Pick a date that works for you.

Step 2. Open an “artist” account on the website corresponding to your country
Once your registration is complete, an artist number will be assigned to you.

Step 3. Apply to participate in a selection audition for the location you have chosen using your artist number
You can do this on the site where you created your account.

Step 4. Once your audition is confirmed, prepare your trip to participate
For the first hearing, all costs incurred are entirely your responsibility.

Step 5. Go to your artist account one week before the audition date
A reminder email will be sent to you.

Step 6. Print your audition pass
You must have it and an identity document with your photo to be able to participate in the audition.

Step 7. You must arrive at the hearing location on the date and time confirmed to you
Someone will accompany you to the hearing room.

Step 8. During the audition, you will sing a song or two and you will have to talk a little about yourself and your personal motivations
Then you will wait for the results to see if you are selected for the final audition.
Part 3 of 3: Audition by submitting a video

Step 1. Open an “artist” account on the The Voice website corresponding to your country of residence

Step 2. If you cannot physically go to an audition location (you are working that day, you are too far away), choose the option to take the screening audition by uploading a video
You cannot audition in person and submit a video.
Sending a video can be done at any time of the year. Although there is no deadline, you must ensure that you meet the conditions for participation before registering

Step 3. Print, complete and sign the hearing contract
You will find it on the website in the "download-registrations" section.

Step 4. Choose 2 songs with accompaniment that you are going to perform
You are not allowed to sing a capella (without music).

Step 5. Sing the 2 songs while filming yourself in a format that can be burned to DVD

Step 6. You should include a monologue titled “About Me” of no more than 5 minutes in length
You have to get creative in telling The Voice judges who you are and why you want to participate in The Voice.

Step 7. Burn your audition video to DVD in standard format (12 cm)

Step 8. Write your name, artist account number, and phone number on the disc

Step 9. Place the protected DVD, a recent photo, and the audition contract you completed and signed in a bubble envelope
