You have the option to send a message from a Facebook page. If your company has a Facebook page and you want to engage with your customers through Facebook Messenger, there are different ways to get started. Note that Facebook currently only allows you to send messages to users who have already contacted you for the first time. There are a few tips to encourage others to send you messages.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Enable messaging for the page

Step 1. Go to your Facebook page
If you are on the Facebook home page, do the following:
- look for the section Shortcuts in the menu bar on the left;
- click on the name of your page;
- if you don't see this option, you can click Pages under the Explore section then select your page from there.

Step 2. Click Settings
This option is at the top right of your page, right next to the help button.

Step 3. Select Messages from the list of options in the middle of the page
You will need to be on the general settings page. The Messages option will be the fifth on the list.
Make sure you look at the menu to the right of the main menu

Step 4. Check the box and click Save Changes
You will see a checkbox next to the Allow people to contact my page privately option. Make sure it's checked or you won't be able to receive messages.

Step 5. Click Page at the top left of the screen
You will be redirected to the main part of your page.

Step 6. Select + Add button below your cover image
To the right of your page, just below your cover image, you will see a light blue box with the words Add button. It will allow you to create a button that users can click to send you a message.

Step 7. Click Contact You
Under the first step, you will have five options. Since your goal is to receive messages, click on the option Contact you.

Step 8. Select Send Message
Facebook gives you five options for the button text you create. Anyone will do, but Send a message seems most appropriate in this case.

Step 9. Choose Next
It's the blue button at the bottom right of the window.

Step 10. Select Messenger
This is the only option you will be able to choose under the second step, however you will have to click on it to be able to add the button to your page.

Step 11. Click Finish
It's the blue button at the bottom right of the window. Once the process is complete, users will start to see a large button asking them to send you messages.
Method 2 of 3: Use the messages page

Step 1. Go to your Facebook page
On the home page, click the name of your page under Shortcuts in the menu bar on the left.

Step 2. Click Inbox

Step 3. Select a conversation

Step 4. Write a response and click Send
Method 3 of 3: Subscribe to subscription email

Step 1. Go to your Facebook page

Step 2. Click Settings
This option is at the top right of your page.

Step 3. Select Messenger Platform from the menu on the left
You will be automatically redirected to general settings, however the menu on the left provides various more specific options. Messenger platform settings are in seventh position on the list. It's the chat bubble icon with a lightning bolt on it.

Step 4. Go to the Advanced messaging features option
You must receive approval from Facebook for this form of messaging. Subscription Messaging allows pages to send users non-promotional messages.

Step 5. Click Request
You will see this option to the right of Subscription Messaging. Click on it to open a window with a form on it.

Step 6. Complete the form
You should fill it out according to the type of page you are holding. You can select the type of messages you want to send: news, productivity, or personal follow-up. You will be able to add additional details about the messages you want to send to users. You will also be asked to provide examples of the messages you will send.
Remember that your messages must be non-promotional, otherwise you will no longer have access to subscription messaging. Check the box at the bottom of the form to prove that you understand

Step 7. Choose Save Draft
It's the blue button at the bottom right of the window.

Step 8. Click Submit for Review
Once you have completed the form correctly, you will be able to submit your case for review. If your page receives approval for subscription messaging, you will have the option to send messages to users on a regular basis.
According to Facebook, it can take five business days to process these requests. You will receive a notification detailing the motivations of the platform
Advice
- Go to the settings page then click on Messages on the far left of the menu bar. You should be able to customize the messaging settings on your page by activating the various options under General settings, Answering assistant, or Appointment messaging.
