An infinite mirror is a mirror in which an optical illusion creates an impression of great depth while the mirror is in fact very thin. One can have the impression that the depth is several meters when in reality the mirror is only a few centimeters thick.
Steps
Step 1. Find a suitable wooden frame
Try to find a fairly thick frame, at least 1.5 cm thick.
Step 2. Undo the frame and remove the glass plate
Step 3. Prepare the glass
Clean it well.
Step 4. Spray a little water and a drop of dish soap on the glass
Step 5. Take a roll of reflective window film
Cut out a piece of film that is a few inches longer than the frame.
Step 6. Remove the protective coating from the reflective film
Step 7. Place the film on the glass
Starting from one of the corners, spray the liquid soap solution on the glass plate as you lay the film on it. Smooth it out to remove any air bubbles and let it dry.
Step 8. Once the film is dry, set the glass aside for later
Step 9. Find a mirror
Obtain a mirror that is the same size as the sheet of glass covered with window film.
If you want, you can use an already framed mirror and make another frame to overlay on the original one. The strips of wood will accentuate the impression of depth. A thickness of 6 to 7 cm is perfect for this
Step 10. Frame the glass you have covered with reflective film
Make sure the side with the film is facing the inside of the frame.
Step 11. Secure the glass plate in place with glue
Step 12. Add an interior frame
It will hold the mirror when you install it on the frame.
Step 13. Use a utility knife to cut a groove in the frame
You will run the cable and the LED adapter through it.
Step 14. Install the LEDs all around the inside of the frame
Drill holes large enough to fit the LEDs into the interior frame you made. Position them roughly in the middle of the width of the wood and space them evenly
Step 15. Pull out the cable
Once you've installed the LEDs, feed the cable out through the groove you dug.
Step 16. Place the mirror on the frame
Glue the two frames together
Step 17. Connect the LEDs
Turn on the lights and admire your infinite mirror.
